Applications for the Dezi Art Prize are open right now, and they're the entry point into something bigger: the first Dezi cohort.
Here's what that means. Dezi isn't running a typical prize where a handful of winners get paid and everyone else gets silence. We're building a cohort, a group of artists selected specifically because they're trying to change how art careers work in this world, and giving them real, practical support to do it.
What selected artists actually get
If you're selected, your work doesn't just get reviewed. It gets featured and shared with the world. The top 30 applicants receive a full profile and feature in Dezine, Dezi's magazine, putting your name and your work in front of a real audience, not just a judging panel. The top 20 of those 30 also get a free one-on-one career audit with the Dezi team.
And it doesn't stop at the top tier. Every single applicant, whether or not you place, is offered a post-close career-guidance interview. That's the point of a cohort model: the value isn't limited to two winners, it's built for everyone who applies in good faith.
A community, not a competition
The artists who join this cohort are working through the same questions at the same time: how to price their work, how to find the next opportunity, how to build a career that doesn't depend on luck. That shared context is the community. You're not applying into a void, you're joining a group of people actively building practical support for each other and for the artists who come after them.

The Dezi Art Prize opened July 15, 2026, and closes September 10, 2026. Two winners each receive a $1,000 unrestricted cash grant, but the real reason to apply is everything above: getting your work seen, getting real career guidance, and becoming part of a cohort built around a different way of thinking about an art career.
